Problem description:

DIALux evo "hangs" at startup. If evo is closed, the following error message appears:

cid:image001.png@01DA599B.EA54F450

In the setup log (stored by default under "C:\Windows\DIALux Setup Log.txt") you will find the lines towards the end (with different timestamps, of course):

[01/01/2024 12:00:00] Action: Call DIALuxLicenseInstaller.exe to install license file...

[01/01/2024 12:00:02] Result: 43

If the Result contains a value other than 0, the following solution may help.

Possible solution:

  • Please check whether you have the folder "C:\ProgramData\SafeNet Sentinel" on your computer.

ATTENTION: The "ProgramData" folder is a hidden folder that is not normally visible. You may need to make this folder visible first. Alternatively, enter "%ProgramData%" in the input line in Windows File Explorer to have the contents of this folder listed directly and to check whether the "SafeNet Sentinel" subfolder exists.

  • If the folder exists, please ensure that the "Users" group has full access to the folder. (Right-click on the folder -> Properties -> Security tab -> Select the "Users" group: in the table below, all authorisations should have a tick in the Allow column).
  • If this is already the case: Please rename the "SafeNet Sentinel" folder once. (*)
  • If this is not the case: Grant the rights.
  • Please download the archive "DIALuxLicenseInstaller.zip" and unzip it e.g. on your desktop.

  • Then start the Windows command prompt by entering "CMD" in the Windows search bar.
  • In the command prompt, you must then change to the folder in which you have unpacked the DIALuxLicenseInstaller, e.g. enter "cd desktop\DIALuxLicenseInstaller" once and press the Enter key.
  • Then enter "DIALuxLicenseInstaller.exe dlx_license.v2c" and confirm again with Enter.
  • A key will then be installed and you will be informed whether the installation was successful.
  • Afterwards, please check whether the problem on your computer system has been resolved.
  • If the problem persists, please contact our technical support ([email protected]).

(*) Caution: If you are using other software that uses Sentinel LDK, you could render it unusable by renaming the folder.

If the subfolder "Senitnel LDK\installed" contains other folders in addition to the folder "32927", you should therefore refrain from using this method!
