If you want to know which material or which colour tone an object has, you can use this function.

As soon as you have selected the function, the mouse pointer changes to an eyedropper and you only need to click on the object or the surface. The respective material or colour tone is then displayed.

Apply material

With this function you can colour a complete surface in the desired colour. As soon as you have clicked on "Apply material", the mouse pointer symbol changes to a paint bucket and you can colour the desired surface by clicking on it. When using this function, only one surface is coloured and not the whole object.

Replace material

If you want to replace a material or colour with another material or colour and you have several surfaces or objects to change, you can simply use the "Replace material" function. You first select the new material or colour and then click on the "Replace material" function. Here the mouse pointer symbol also changes back to a colour bucket and you can then click on the material or colour to be replaced in your project.

Create colour material

If the colours in the DIALux colour catalogue do not match what you are looking for, you can use this to create an individual colour material.

Import texture material

Here you can import and edit your own textures. In addition to the size of the texture, you can also determine the material type and the associated properties. You can import the formats *.JPG, *JPEG, *BMP, *.PNG, *TIF, *TIFF and *.GIF.

Apply reflectance on surfaces

With this function you can change the reflectance for a complete surface. Once you have entered the desired reflectance and clicked on the function, the mouse pointer icon changes to a paint bucket and you can change the reflectance for the desired surface by clicking on it. When using this function, only one surface is changed at a time and not the whole object.

Change reflectance of room surfaces

With this function you can easily change the reflectance of the ceilings, walls and floors for an entire storey. As soon as you have clicked on this function, you can enter the three degrees of reflection for ceilings, walls and floors. If you then click on the "Apply" button, the reflectance values for the entire storey will be changed.
